We are creating new colors

Hybridpalette.com is where like-minds gather to share their professional flavor. A paint palette is where many colors are mixed and new flavors are created. An artist's palette should never be limited.

In today's market the definition of "Graphic Designer" is changing. Employers are looking for graphic designers to, not only, design brochures and I.D. Systems but are also looking for a unique designer, a "Hybrid Designer". A Hybrid Designer is someone capable of delivering backend support such as utilizing Content Management Systems, HTML5, CSS and social media tools like WordPress, Facebook and twitter.

In it's simplest definition - A Hybrid designer is a Web Developer who can design and a designer who can code. Somewhat of a Jack-of-all-trades, an effective individual capable of designing, both, front-end and backend of a website. It is the new "Buzz word" emerging in the multimedia environment. It combines two job skills into one and provides employers an option to upgrade its personnel.

A Hybrid designer should have many skills that encompass their trade. Here at hybridpalette.com the focus is to share, explore and delve into the many skills a hybrid designer should possess, as well as provide professional insight on real world challenges.

What is a Hybrid Designer?

This is how the Fast Company Defines a Hybrid Designer...

"It's a progressive notion about the multi-dimensional craft of "doing things," as well as a reflection on the interconnectedness of all kinds of design within the economic and commercial fabric of society. It balances the skills, talents and relative strengths of designers to create both physical and non-physical objects, and their refinement, delivery, and relevancy within a cultural, social and responsible context."
